Ganapati Bappa Morya.........

Hey after my Austria Trip a trip to Chandrapur was a contrast and a good reliving thing for me. That to on occasion of Ganapati Festival, So Sat 15th to 18th I was in Chandarpur, I had some visit to CSTPS Plant on mon and tuesday so was a bit busy could not spend full time with my family, they must be complaining.

Anyway Enjoyed every moment of my tour, it is always a fun to go home especially after a long time, from the time I have moved to Bangalore it is a bit difficult to go home frequently. when in Hyderabad, Chandrapur seemed to be just in back yard, start in late night and morning you are at home. Will miss that but ok.

Had lot of things back home so what ever I had shed in terms of weight in past month was overcome in just 4-5 days so back to normal he he.

Independence Day In Vienna

Wednesday 15th August 2007

So today is my first independence day outside India, yesterday While Checking on Orkut I came across a community of Indians in Vienna, and incidentally I got invitation for Independence Day on that community. So we thought of giving it a shot, so myself, Ali and George decided to go to embassy for Independence Day Celebration.

Thou we were late we reached there by 9.10 Am scheduled time was 9.00 am. We could catch up with the Prime-ministers address well in time. Then we had some refreshment my heart was bagg bagg by seeing alu bonda and shira, and I had a lot of apple juice. Most Interesting part came after that, we met lot of Indians there, especially the students and lot of Maharastrian among them. And our Host ambassador Shri Sharmaji came from nearby place to my place he is from Shivini so we had a good chat. Got to know lot of people, I cannot remember every-bodies name but prominent among them was mishraji doing his Phd in Material Science, A husband wife from shirdi and one more Bengali couple doing there Phd. One more guy from Kolhapur and one more from Bangalore.

Anyway they will be in contact through ORKUT and I am planning a visit to university. I came to know that there is a Marathi sammelen in Munich shock for me.

Then we went to Shonbrun summer palace, it was huge and beautiful, but exhausting and then we came to our Chinese restaurant but sadly they did not give buffet so had good food by ordering. Again I was Pissed off cause of all this business of closing shops on days when we working people have time to go out.

First Saturday In Vienna

Saturday 11th August 2007

Today Thang, along with Mary, Ryan, Marlyn and her friend from Studgaurd had a long day out in Downtown Vienna. We had really informative and relaxing day. Thang started with oldest Church of Vienna explanning the architecture and history. The we say the oldest part of city. Then a clock which shows 12 eminent personality of Austrian history pass each at every hour of the day but at 12 o clock all of them pass by, we were lucky to be there at 12 O Clock.

Then Thang took us to a place which was a river first and then it was converted to streets by making the river move back from its flow. Then we went to salsberg church in the center and had a French Lunch Ali I had a desert chocolate one it was good, and could taste sandwich also, thanks to Mary. Then we went on for window shopping and then to palace and then a walk down to parliament house to Munciple council and film festival again, there we had some drinks and cooled our heels off.

Every body retreated and decided to assemble again for dinner. We myself and aali agin we for window shop. And in evening 8 o clock assembled again and a search for Spanish restaurant in northen part of city, after going through a search party we go a vine bar which served only cold spannish food called Tamasa. It is a small servings of vegetables and meat. We had drinks and small servings, I got to know different culture within a day.

Truly Vienna is a cosmopolitan city I could find people all over the world here. We came home by 1 Am in morning but here 1 am is no different from 1 pm so no problem. Any way tomorrow we have decided to have complete rest and anyway nothing will be open tomorrow.

Apartment

My First International trip, Austria, I am very much impressed about this country and Vienna as special. We are living in a apartment provided to us by CCI located in Siebenhirten, is at the edge of Vienna city. This is what is seems from Ubhan map (they call the local train or metro here as Ubhan). This city has a good network of public transport, the best I have seen until now.

People are rule followers. Only problem we had was of food (they eat lot of port and beef we do not). But that is also solved not as we have moved into a apartment where we cook food now. Every thing here is so schestamatic that we have no choice but to appreciate them.

Our office is in perfektastr, just in front of Ubhan station. This is so much fun here to see so less people and so many cars, that to so many variety of them. Ali my college who is with me has gone crazy about cars and bikes here.

Yesterday 9th August Thursday we tried to go and roam around city centre, but due to rain had to just loiter round and come back, we will try coming week end.

I am totally on my back feet while it comes to girls here, I don’t have a clue, they are so forward and beyond my imagination, they are not ashamed about there sexuallality as girls are there in my part of world. Dressing and all is most modern.

But you cannot distinguish guys on the basis of dressing, every body looks the same.

Vine and alcohol is famous in this part of world. They put vine in what ever they see.

Visit to Vienna

Si first time out of the country, but I donot know not much exitment as now a days it had become a common thing, I will tell you franckly I was much exited when I went to NAsik (First time out of my city) that this time out of the country Ha Ha.

But after I landed in Vienna I am exited again,

It started like this we started from banglore airport at night 2 o clock, 6th August morning. reached Paris (now paris is a really big airport) then borded a connecting flight to Vienna.

But after we reached Vienna We did not get our luggages. we were heart broken. We got it on 7th Afterenoon.

Vienna is capital city of Austria and part of city we are living in is very beautiful indeed, lot of greenery and good houses.

Big Roads seperate track all over city for driving bicycle, metro all over.

An d most astonisting part is its water system you can drink water from any tap, my hotel has kept glass for water in bathroom, because water is directly from Alps montains and cionsidered more pure than Mineral water also by citizens of this place.

MOre to come as day goes by, I am here for one month.

My Sunday Trek 29th July 2007

This Saturday Abir called me up and proposed about a trek somewhere near Nandi hills, I thought lets give a try, but when he told we have to start early morning I was reluctant. He told he will forward me some photos and so ...afte seeing those phots I had no doubt left in my mind but to go. It was looking a step below Heaven. really those photos were so beautiful I could not say no.

So it all arrive Sat night I was at Abir residence where he has arranged a beautiful bengali dinner for all of us Myself, Abir, Ratul and sugata.

We started at 1 Am this was my first adventure which started at 1 Am so I was exited about all this, Raod was smooth. we reached Chikkaballapura and went left from Highway, missed Kakavaarahalli and went somewhere else, after realising that we have missed it we came back and took a turn from sabji mandi to Papagni math.

3 km from this we got some guys who were there to give direction, they directed us to a place where we could park our vehicles.

and at 5 am we started our trek.in pitch darkness we started to climb with the help of guide (150 rs). rise was exhausting and difficult but when sun started to rise we realised we are on a very beautifull place.

we were there for 2 hours on top and statted to decent, took 2 hours to decent...but this was most beautiful part of whole trip, we could see nandi hill from there.

We were back by 2 PM.
